PANEL NAME: EXTERNAL AUDIO
COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT
FUNCTION OVERVIEW:
Used to assign frequency bandwidth and adjust signal
strength to all outgoing and incoming audio communications.
There are two sets of controls, one for subspace signals and one
for space-normal communications. The warp drive and impulse
calibration sliders are used to eliminate resonant feedback
generated by the drive units.
PWR - Assigns
power to signal generators. The longer the tactile button is
pressed, the more signal strength is boosted.
DIS - Transfer
signal to voice graph for analysis.
COM - Assigns
computer memory to translate incoming messages.
TRA - Assigns
computer memory to format outgoing messages.
NAV - Used to
track coordinates of incoming messages. The weaker or farther
away the signal, the more navigational tracking required.
CALIBRATION PROCEDURE:
See MCX-320009-500.
