The fate of the ship and crew during battle rests with the Weapons Officer seated at this station. Defensive shields, phaser banks, and deadly photon torpedo's are under primary control from this console. There is an exact copy of this console on the Battle Bridge. In some cases weapon functions can be engaged by other bridge stations; shields can be engaged at the Navigation Console and phasers can be fired by the Helm. This station is only manned during yellow alert and red alert conditions.
